Here’s what some of the guys who took part in Nottingham Men Allowed 2024 had to say about the project
Haven’t had so much fun with my clothes on for years!! A very moving experience, thank you. Ian.
I hadn't quite managed to commit to singing in a regular choir. Now I definitely want to join one - but it has to be just like NMA! Andy.
It was one of the stand out experiences of my lifetime and I’ve done a lot! Ken,
The whole process was exciting watching the boys grow in confidence supporting each other throughout just made you feel good. Each week we could see improvements and were encouraged by the mentors . The culmination of the effort of everyone in delivering the big performance to our paying audience has left us all on a massive high and very proud to have been apart of it thank you. Mark.
Singing with strangers-turned-friends for charity was a heartwarming experience, uniting us in song and purpose, showcasing the power of music to bring people together for a meaningful cause. Flame.
I am so proud of what we achieved in such a short space of time. I think it exceeded everyone’s expectations. Adam.
I had no idea how much fun was going to be, and how singing with a bunch of lads makes you feel so alive. Do yourself a favour, sign up! Roy.
A once in a lifetime opportunity to learn something challenging, empowering and fun in a supportive and pressure free environment. Steve.
This was amazing with 6 weeks of rehearsals we as a group have thoroughly enjoyed learning a new skill and meeting like-minded people and raising money for a good cause. Push yourselves out of your comfort zone and do something good for charity. John.
It was a well organised and enjoyable journey together for a great cause. Singing together is a wonderful and unforgettable experience. Ian.
It's a very pleasing natural high from the euphoria of it all coming together. Mark.
Life affirming - A choir to inspire. Bold vision and ambition delivered with organisational precision. An emotional, exhilarating rush from the first hesitant note to an unforgettable concert in just 6 weeks. Men helping men to help all men talk about health. Take up the challenge, work hard, and find your voice. Jono
Absolutely awesome and an experience I will never forget. My wife was so proud of the whole choir that she was in tears throughout the concert as it was a moving experience. Vincent.
Sent an email to join, and six weeks later, I'm stood on stage in front of a sold-out crowd feeling on top of the moon- not one regret! Sei.
A feel good factor you would find difficult to reproduce! Mark.
A brilliant experience ; challenging but fun and satisfying knowing you are making a difference by raising funds for such a worthy cause. Nigel.
Joining other blokes for beer, song, and raising money for charity - that surely is the Rhythm of Life!! Steve.
I served as an engineer in the RAF and as a Police Officer in Nottingham. I’ve had some amazing experiences that I’ve been very proud to achieve and this was right up there with the best of them. It was done along with a great group of men but was very much a personal journey that I’ll always remember. Thank you. Richard.
It was a brilliant experience from start to finish. I learnt a lot about myself and it was pleasure to meet all the gents. Liam.
A simply wonderful experience, one of the best things I've ever done. James.
What a life changing experience! Learning new skills, challenging yourself, meeting new friends and having a great time. At the same time contributing to a fantastic cause. Loved it!! Brent.
